My Works
I am a self taught acrylic painter currently based in Birmingham, UK. I explore the marriage of realism with surrealism, focusing on how colour can act as a voice. How it can speak where words might fail.
I hold importance to the duality between control and chaos, monochrome and vibrancy - this is central to my practice. Personally, I find that when you merge colours, they lose their essence and individual importance. Too many colours can over saturate something, maybe even lose its meaning. So in my work, I want to showcase each colourful emotion by putting neutrals, greys and blacks to highlight its characteristics.
I invite viewers to stand close, to feel the texture, and to consider what it means to be both muted yet radiant at once.
About Me
After completing my illustration degree, I was working as a visual merchandiser, and have started training as a tattoo artist. There is nothing I love more than a comedy show and an endless supply of nachos!
